is Not Covered?
Emergency Hospital and Medical Benefits Exclusions
We will not pay for losses
or expenses incurred for or as the result of:
1.
An
injury or sickness or state of health where the trip is taken to get medical treatment
or advice for such injury or sickness;
2.
Loss,
death, or injury, that is contributed to by the abuse of drugs, alcohol or any
other intoxicant;
3.
An
injury or sickness, or state of health which, prior to the effective date of coverage,
was such as to render expected medical treatment or hospitalization;
4.
Expenses
incurred as a result of pregnancy within 8 weeks of the expected delivery date;
5.
Any
loss as a result of an injury or a sickness which required any or all of, medical
consultation, prescription medication, medical treatment or hospitalization, at
any time during the 180 day period immediately preceding the effective date of
this policy. This exclusion applies to persons up to age 70 traveling for periods
of 36 days or longer and persons age 71 and over for trips of any duration.
